Very sturdy & very heavy. Not very easy to take on and off the hitch because it has the bolt lock system so you have to use a wrench to take on & off. I had the hanging style bike rack before & with the different angle top tubs these days the bikes didn't sit well on that type of rack. This style is very accommodating for multiple frame angle sizes. The first one I ordered had an issue with the retractable locking strap that pulls out of the hold down arm. The retracting mechanism broke before I even mounted the carrier to my car just testing pulling it in & out. Amazon took care of it by shipping a new one. I have a feeling it's going to break on the new one as well - seems like a cheap mechanism built into the retracting arm. Although the carrier would still work without the retracting of the cable.
Update: I have been using the replacement one I posted about above. No issues so far. It has been working great. Also, added a fatbike to collection & it works pretty well for...
