Review : A nice heavy duty winch mounting plate
I bought a 3500# Super Winch for my 2003 Honda foreman and wanted a heavy duty winch plate to handle it. I just put it on today and I am impressed with the quality of the parts. The winch mounting plate is about 1/4 inch thick and quite hefty. It mounted high on the quad frame (just under the front plastics) and required me to take the front bumper grill off (8 bolts and 10-15 minutes). The winch is mounted to the plate before attaching it to the quad and it took 2 people to reattach the bumper (aligning bolt holes while lifting on the mounting plate and adjusting the bumper in position and inserting the bolts). It took me, a novice, about an hour to complete the winch plate mounting with my wife aiding in the bumper alignment for about 15 minutes. (The heavy duty "U" brackets go under the mounting plate inorder for the bolt holes to line up.) This mounting plate definitey makes the winch a solid part of the quad frame. If you have a hefty winch you will want this hefty mounting...
